A Purrfect Companion Infographic

Spring 2025

I created an infographic with the intention of informing and educating people who would like to know more about cats and those who are not aware of the benefits and things to consider regarding cat ownership when deciding to adopt a cat. I brainstormed and gathered lists of information about cats and cat adoption that supported my intention. My infographic helped visualize this content and I used design systems and data visualizations to create a layout of complex information.

Sketches & Planning

I took the sections and elements from my initial three sketches that I thought were working well and expanded on them for my larger sketch. I also added more details on the content to better predict how much space to allot for each grouping. I started with a four column grid to help divide and distribute the content, knowing that I can pivot from this system if I need to.

I stayed true to my final sketch when designing my infographic since my system was working well.

Illustrations/Icons

I incorporated a variety of illustrations in my infographic to help visualize and complement the information I was communicating. I used the Procreate app to sketch and create the initial illustrations, then I used the image trace tool in Illustrator to convert them into scalable vectors and add color.
